I always wondered what zombies are thinking. Well these zombies are not the brain eating type, but have a vast unquenchable hunger to bite the living. As I shuffle and bounce a path through a trampled genre, I no longer have the will to groan in disgust, until…… Holy shjtsnacks, this was goooood (mmmm brains). Review: With the plethora of zombie movies and novels, filling up every available media-space, I have become deadened and immune to the re-animated corpse movement. What’s happened to them, and to millions of civilians around the world, goes beyond any war crime and Vadim and his team – Skull, Mongol, Farm Boy, Princess, Gulag, the Fräulein and New Boy – won’t rest until they’ve seen justice done. Publishers Description: World War III was over in a matter of hours, and Vadim and most of his squad are dead, but not done. I drew the line at fake (and not so fake) Nazzis) in England in 1986. And the author seems to forget his protagonists are zombies half the time, only remembering their "condition" when it's convenient. People with the walking dead as a distraction. only we didn't really get much of it after the escape from NY. I was looking for gruesome zombie fun, after all. ![]() Come on, author, you could do better than this.īut even the more than subpar protagonist would have been okay. Fraulein was a more believable commander than him. ![]() He has no authority, no personal charisma, and he doesn't command respect. and to add insult to injury, Vadim is an idiot incapable of leading a pack of 5 year olds, least of all a squad of elite soldiers. The shit Gulag was pulling out in this book would have gotten him shot back in Afghanistan already. I'm not sure about the author's background, but speznaz are ELITE forces, a bit like Navy SEALS. Too much drama and blattant insubordination. It got boring and yawn inducing during the time on the boat. It was fast paced and fun during their attack on NY and their escape from Manhattan afterwards. It had a fun beginning and an interesting premise. I really tried to power through, I promise. ![]() Yes, I know, I was so close to the finish.
